Maybeury Elementary School to close Monday due to power outages

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Maybeury Elementary School will be closed on Monday due to power outages sustained during storms over the weekend.

According to Henrico County Public Schools, Maybeury Elementary School will be closed on Monday, Aug. 19 as a result of power outages in the area from severe storms that hit over the weekend.

A school division spokesperson said that from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday, bagged lunches are being provided for pickup for students.

The first day of school for students — which was originally Monday — has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20.
