42-year-old man killed after tree falls on pickup truck identified

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 42-year-old man who was killed after a tree fell on a pickup truck he was inside in Henrico County on Sunday evening has been identified.

42-year-old Peter Lottman has been identified by the Henrico County Police Division as the man who was found dead.

At 4:48 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, Henrico Police responded to the 800 block of Maybeury Drive for the report of a tree that fell on the cab of a pickup truck. When officers arrived, they found Lottman dead in the cab of his truck.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates Lottman was heading north on Maybeury Drive when an oak tree, which stood about 50 feet tall and 8 feet in circumference, fell across the road and onto the pickup truck.
