    Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources launches True Wildlife Crime series

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources has launched its True Wildlife Crime series , with the first episode entailing the case of a notorious turkey poacher in Shenandoah County.

    According to Shelby Crouch, the department’s public information officer, the series will highlight old wildlife cases with the conservation police officers that investigated them.

    In the first episode , Crouch talks with master officer Owen Heine who investigated the case of a notorious turkey poacher in Shenandoah County. Heine describes the tactics used in the investigation and what lead to the case being solved.
