Manchester High School in Chesterfield to celebrate 100 years

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Manchester High School in Chesterfield County is turning 100 this year, with celebrations planned for early October.

This fixture of Chesterfield County Public Schools has operated since 1924. From 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, Manchester High leadership will host a celebration of this anniversary, during which they will unveil a new historical marker.

According to the school , alumni, retired faculty, current faculty and dignitaries will be invited to join school leadership at this celebration.

There will be music, refreshments and historical displays about Manchester High.
