    Five displaced after kitchen fire burns through Chesterfield duplex

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Five adults are displaced after a Thursday night kitchen fire in a Chesterfield County duplex.

    According to Chesterfield County Fire & EMS, its firefighters responded to the 3300 block of Main Street the night of Thursday, Aug. 22, for report of a structure fire.

    When they arrived, first responders found that a fire had started in the kitchen of a duplex home.

    The fire was marked under control by 10:24 p.m., fire officials said.

    Everyone inside of the duplex was able to get out safely. Five adults have been displaced by the damage.

    The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
