    Chesterfield County Fair returns for its 113th year; here’s what you need to know!

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Fair will kick off its 113th year debut at 5 p.m. on Friday.

    Fair goers will have the chance to enjoy a full weekend of fun, food and entertainment and the 8News team has provided this full guide of everything you need to know!

    Hours of Operation

    Friday, Aug. 23 (Opening Day): 5 – 11 p.m.

    Monday, Aug. 26 through Thursday, Aug. 29: 5 – 11 p.m.

    Friday, Aug. 30: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

    Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

    NEW! Clear Bag Policy

    Fair-goers must adhere to the clear bag policy the Chesterfield County Fair Association (CCFA), has implemented in an effort–officials have said–to provide a safer environment and expedite the entry process.

    The CCFA encourages fair-goers to not bring a bag but if they do, they must adhere to the following size and dimensions:

    • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or 30.5 x 15.25 x 30.5 cm.
    • Small purses or clutch bags no larger than 12″ x 6″ 12″ or 30.5 x 15.25 x 30.5 cm (approximately the size of a woman’s hand) with or without a handle or  strap, in addition to one of the clear plastic bags.
    • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar) are permitted.

    • Adults (13-59) – $12
    • Seniors (60+) – $8
    • Children (4-12) – $6
    • Children 3 and under – Free

    Ride Tickets & Wristbands

    • Single Ticket: $1.75
    • Sheet of 30 Tickets: $40
    • Sheet of 50 Tickets: $60
    • Wristband Monday
    • Thursday: $27
    • Wristband Friday
    • Sunday: $30

    Daily Deals

    (On site only)

    Sunday, 8/25: Military Appreciation Day

    • All active and retired Military free admission with Military ID

    Monday, 8/26: Half Price Day

    • All admission & ride wristbands are 1/2 price

    Wednesday, 8/28: Read to Succeed Day

    • $1 off adult admission by bringing in one new or gently used children’s book

    Thursday, 8/29: Be a Giver Day

    $1 off adult admission by bringing 1 or more canned goods

    Saturday, 8/31: Heroes Day

    • All first responders free admission with ID
