    The Egyptian Festival returns to Richmond for second year

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The annual Egyptian Festival returns to Richmond for a three-day event this weekend.

    The 2nd Annual Egyptian Festival is returning to Richmond for its second year beginning this Friday, Aug. 30 through Sunday, Sept. 1 at the Archangel Michael and St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church, located at 6650 Elkhardt Rd.

    The festival is a free, family-friendly event to learn more about the food, culture and entertainment of Egypt.

    The festival hours are as follows:

    • Friday, Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Sunday, Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
