    Fun things to do in Richmond on Labor Day

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Labor Day is coming up on Monday, Sept. 2, and there are several events Richmond residents can attend to celebrate.

    Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

    The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will be hosting Genworth Free Community Day on Monday, Sept. 2. According to the garden, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., all visitors will receive free admission. People will have the opportunity to see 50 acres of gardens, exhibits and flowers. For more information about the event, visit this link.

    Labor of Love Festival

    The Labor of Love Festival — hosted by BariPete Productions — will be hosted at Brambly Park on Monday, Sept. 2, starting at noon and going until 10 p.m. According to Brambly Park, people can expect a full day of music, vendors and food.     James River Cellars Winery

    To celebrate Labor Day, the James River Cellars Winery will be hosting live music from Virginia artist Jimmy O on Monday, Sept. 2, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no entry fee for this event, and there will be several food trucks available as well. For more information, visit this link .
