    Person shot in Richmond’s Southside

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A person is injured after he was shot in Richmond’s Southside Monday evening, according to police.

    At 7:50 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to VCU Medical Center for the report of a gunshot victim who had been taken there by a friend. Police said the victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

    According to police, so far in the investigation, it has been determined that the shooting happened near the 300 block of Stockton Street in Richmond’s Southside.

    Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 804-646-5100.
