    Motorcyclist killed, driver hurt in two-vehicle crash in Chesterfield

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A motorcyclist is dead and the other involved driver is hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Chesterfield County on Tuesday.

    At about 8:46 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 800 block of N Courthouse Road for report of a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

    When they and units with Chesterfield County Fire & EMS arrived, they found the unidentified motorcyclist in the middle of the road. According to police, they died at the scene.

    The driver of the other involved vehicle remained at the scene. According to police, they were hurt in the crash and were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, which are not considered life-threatening. They are cooperating with police.

    The motorcyclist is not being identified publicly at this time as the department works to notify their family.
