New Kent Highway to temporarily close for repairs

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — New Kent Highway from Dispatch Road to Henpeck Road will be temporarily closed for a few hours on Wednesday.

According to the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office, the temporary road closure will be due to Dominion Power removing trees and repairing the power lines in the area of the roadway.

Traffic detours will be in place to filter traffic through Dispatch Road to South Quaker Road and North Henpeck Road to get through the road closure.

The New Kent County Sheriff’s Office will be on site to help control the traffic.
