Petersburg Police looking for missing 56-year-old man

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — The Petersburg Bureau of Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 56-year-old man.

According to Petersburg Police, 56-year-old Rusty Wellman was last seen on Thursday, Aug. 8, when he was picked up by a taxi on the 300 block of Poplar Drive heading to the Virginia Beach area.

Police said it was reported on Tuesday, Aug. 27, that Wellman never reached his destination. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Wellman, contact the Petersburg Bureau of Police at 804-732-4222.
