Hopewell has had kayak/on-the-river related events within the past 3 years without a single incident. This type of event does not attract the, “thugs” other comments keep mentioning. Highly doubt an event with military personnel staffing a rock wall and military vets/biker clubs running the roads portion, provide an opportunity for “thugs” to act up.
