Free Garfield movie night at Chesterfield County Fairgrounds

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Chesterfield Animal Services, is hosting a free movie night at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds in mid-September.

“Help us support our very own Chesterfield Animal Services with a free movie night on the big screen, featuring The Garfield Movie,” the department said on Facebook .

The event is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. The movie will begin at dusk.

There will be more to do at the fairgrounds than just watch The Garfield Movie, though — with organizers saying attendees will be able to enjoy giveaways, bounce houses, balloon animals and more. There will also be food vendors.

“Bring your chairs and blankets but for the safety of the guest animals, please leave pets at home,” the department said.
