Want to know what’s closed in Richmond on Labor Day?

RICHMOMD, Va. (WRIC) — In observance of the Labor Day Holiday, on Monday, Sept. 2, Richmond city government offices will be closed.

According to the City of Richmond, Holiday closings will include:

• The Richmond City Hall
• All branches of the Richmond Public Library
• Parks, Recreations & Community Facilities offices
• All city community centers
• All Public Works offices
• DPU Call Center (for utility emergencies call 804-646-4646 and for gas leaks, call 911 and leave the area)

On Labor Day Weekend, Richmond Animal Care and Control will be open to the public on Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

In addition, the Richmond city pools will be open during the holiday weekend, operating Saturday through Monday from noon to 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Aug. 31, The East Richmond Road Convenience Center, located on 3800 East Richmond Road will be closed.
