    Man shot in Chesterfield, police investigating

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Police are investigating after a man was shot on Buckingham Station Drive on Saturday.

    According to a release, Chesterfield County Police responded at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31 to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Buckingham Station Drive. Once on scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound.

    The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An initial investigation has revealed that the shooting happened during an altercation between the victim and the suspect, who are known to each other.

    According to police, there appears to be no further threat to the community. Police are continuing their investigation into this incident.
