    Learn about bird watching at Pocahontas State Park

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Looking to learn more about bird watching over the weekend? Pocahontas State Park will host an event where visitors can learn about birding and then enjoy a tasty treat .

    From 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, visitors at the park’s Visitor Center will be taught easy bird identification techniques, after which they can enjoy complimentary treats.

    According to the Department of Conservation and Recreation, the event is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.

    Attendees can bring their own binoculars for a closer view.
