Miles of backups were on I-95 North in Hanover due to delayed opening of work zone

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two travel lanes were closed on a section of Interstate 95 North in Hanover County due to the delayed opening of a work zone.

At around 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported that two travel lanes were closed on I-95 North near Ashland due to the delayed opening of a work zone.

According to the department, there were four miles of delays. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
