Man dead after Richmond shooting, police investigating

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found shot on Broad Rock Boulevard early Saturday morning.

At around 12:41 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, Richmond Police officers were called to the 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man, down on the ground, with a gunshot wound.

According to police, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
