Miles of traffic backups were on I-64 West in New Kent due to crash

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Drivers expected delays on a section of Interstate 64 West in New Kent County due to a crash.

At 12:55 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported that there was 5 miles of delays near Courthouse Road due to a crash.

According to the department, no travel lanes were closed as the crash was on the right shoulder of the interstate.

By 2:43 p.m., the scene was reported clear by the department.
