Henrico Police investigating deadly crash on Staples Mill Road

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico Police are investigating after a person was killed in a crash on Staples Mill road on Sunday night.

According to police, at around 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, Henrico Police and Henrico Fire responded to person that had been hit by a car on Staples Mill Road near Hungary Springs Road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car remained on scene and is currently cooperating with investigators.

An investigation of this incident is being led by the Henrico Police Crash Team.

Westbound Staples Mill Road between Lucas and Hungary Springs will be closed until the investigation is complete.
