19-year-old Petersburg man arrested for shots fired

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — At around 4:45 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 6, Petersburg Bureau of Police responded to the report of shots being fired at the 1100 block of Sixth Street.

According to Petersburg police, officers arrived on the scene and encountered 19-year-old Khristian Phillips. Police took Phillips into custody without incident.

Phillips was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, discharging a firearm in the city and brandishing a firearm.

In alignment with the Operation Safe Streets initiative, Petersburg Bureau of Police is dedicated to maintaining a safe community and alleviating crime.
