    Tractor-trailer driver dead after Friday morning crash on I-64 in Henrico

    HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A tractor-trailer driver is dead after a crash on Friday morning on Interstate 64 in eastern Henrico County .

    According to Virginia State Police, the crash took place at around 7:21 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 at the westbound entrance to the Sandston scales.

    It was determined that 47-year-old Lamar Thomas Burrows of Williamsburg was in the right lane heading east in a tractor-trailer pulling five vehicles when he lost control and struck a box truck to his left.

    Both vehicles crossed the median and came to a stop in the westbound lanes of I-64 at the entrance to the Sandston scales. Burrows was pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the box truck suffered minor injures.

    The crash is still under investigation.
