    Roanoke man charged with meth distribution in Franklin County

    FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – The Franklin County Sheriff has charged a man with felony possession and distribution after an incident that occurred at a local business in Franklin County back in August.

    The FCS says that on Wednesday, August 28, 29-year-old Timothy George Zimmerman from Roanoke, was at a local business in the Boones Mill area when he allegedly had a “consensual encounter” with deputies.

    During the “encounter”, deputies allegedly found and seized a loaded gun, substances believed to be drugs, and an undisclosed amount of money on his person.

    Zimmerman has been arrested and charged with the following:

    • Distribution of Methamphetamine, 10grams or more
    • Possessing/Transporting Firearm
    • Sell Schedule I or II Drug While Possessing Firearm

    He is currently being held at the Western Virginia Regional Jail without bond.
