One dead, two in hospital after Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A person is dead and two were transported to the hospital after a shooting in Richmond on Saturday night.

At around 10:11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, Richmond Police responded to the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived on scene, they found three victims. According to police, one victim died at the scene due to his injuries, and two females were transported to a local hospital.

The Richmond Police Department’s Major Crimes unit is investigating. Anyone with information about this incident can call the Richmond Police Department at 804-646-5112 .
