CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A fifth-grade student at Clover Hill Elementary School shared a list of two students they threatened to kill on Friday, prompting an investigation by the Chesterfield County Police Department.

According to a spokesperson for Chesterfield County Public Schools, a message was shared with families of students in the fifth-grader’s class on Friday, Sept. 13 notifying them of the list.

Just before dismissal on Friday, school officials learned that a fifth-grade student had shared a list of two students that they threatened to kill, according to the message.

The Chesterfield County Police Department then investigated the threat and found that the student had no access to weapons and no means to carry out the threat, and that the threat was not credible.

A threat assessment of the student was completed, and there are no charges brought against the student, police said.

“Chesterfield Police are involved, and our administrative team is working directly with the families of the students who were named on the list,” the message said.

This follows the multitude of threats made against other schools in Chesterfield County, as well as those made in other areas of Central Virginia last week.

If children aren't being taught respect for others. If their not being taught to take responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming everyone else for their failures. If you defund the police and there aren't consequences for their actions. Then don't be surprised this kind of thing happens.
