Henrico Department of Social Services hosts job fair for eligibility worker positions

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Looking for a position where you can help people access resources and services? Henrico County’s Department of Social Services is hosting a job fair for people interested in becoming eligibility workers in September.

From 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23 at Fairfield Area Library — located at 1401 North Laburnum Avenue — job seekers will be able to learn about open positions with the department.

In these positions, workers would help residents access benefits, like food assistance, medical coverage and financial assistance. Employees would also offer support to residents as they navigate county services.

The department is seeking candidates with education and/or experience in the human services field.

“Ideal applicants should have strong skills in customer service, time management and teamwork. The department is offering a salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 for these positions,” a department spokesperson said.

The job fair is free and open to the public.
