    Pedestrian fighting for life after crash in Chesterfield

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A pedestrian is fighting for their life after they were hit by a car in Chesterfield County on Tuesday.

    Just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the intersection of Chester and Whistle Stop roads for report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

    When first responders arrived, they found a pedestrian that had been hit by a car. Investigators said they were hit by a vehicle moving south on Chester Road.

    The pedestrian, who has not been identified by police, has life-threatening injuries.

    Chester Road from its 11700 block to Route 10 is closed as of the time of reporting. According to police, it will remain that way for an extended period of time.
