Man killed in Chesterfield shooting, police investigating

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound on Saturday evening.

According to police, at around 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 they were called to the Hamner Terrace area for a report of a shooting. Once police arrived, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead on scene.

Police are continuing their investigation into this incident as a homicide. People with information are urged to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251.
