HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Henrico County Police Division is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that took place yesterday in the Fairfield District.

At approximately 4:01 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, Henrico police responded to a report of a deadly motorcycle crash on Brook Road near Wilmer Avenue.

According to police, when officers arrived on the scene they found a man with obvious trauma. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Henrico police identified the motorcycle driver to be 51-year-old Gary Cox of Richmond.

The investigation determined that Cox was traveling northbound on Brook Road, when he hit the concrete median at the intersection of Wilmer Avenue, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle.
