    Crash on I-95 South in Chesterfield causing backup

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A crash on Interstate 95 South in Chesterfield County is causing delays for drivers.

    According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash took place at mile marker 61, just after the West Hundred Road in the Chester area of the county.

    The southbound left lane is currently closed. Southbound traffic is currently backed up to the Route 288 interchange and northbound traffic is currently backed up about halfway to the Woods Edge Road interchange.

    Drivers are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays.
