Dominion Energy Center to host ‘Dog Man: The Musical’ in March

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — “ Dog Man: The Musical ,” presented by TheaterWorksUSA, is coming to Richmond’s Dominion Energy Center in March.

On March 18, 2025, “Dog Man: The Musical” will be brought to the Dominion Energy Center’s stage. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.

Tickets can be purchased online , by phone (804) 514-3849, or in-person at the Altria Theater’s Box Office, located at 6 N. Laurel Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

According to a spokesperson from Dominion Energy Center, the musical is based on the popular bestselling “Dog Man” book series by Dav Pilkey. The author is also the creator of the Captain Underpants book series .

“Dog Man: The Musical surpasses my highest expectations,” said  Dog Man creator Dav Pilkey. “It is the ‘Perfect Mash-up’ of memorable music, humor, and love.”

For those who know Dog Man, he has the head of a dog and body of a policemen. He has a love for fighting crime and saving the city.

The musical is recommended for families and children 5-years-old or over.
