RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The juvenile who was injured in a shooting in Richmond’s East End Tuesday night has been identified as an 11-year-old boy by police. Officials said he is fighting for his life in a local hospital.

At 11:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, Richmond Police officers were called to the 2100 block of Newbourne Street for the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an 11-year-old boy in the home with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with a life-threatening injury, according to police.
