Vehicle crash caused closures on Route 1 in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A vehicle crash caused significant closures on Route 1 in Chesterfield Saturday night.

The Virginia Department of Transportation reported at 9:02 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 that all southbound and northbound travel lanes were closed on Route 1 near Osborne Road due to a vehicle crash.

Motorists were encouraged to seek alternate routes and experienced delays.

VDOT reported as of 11:04 p.m. that the scene is clear.
