    Multiple lane closures throughout Richmond

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The City of Richmond’s Department of Public Works has announced multiple lane closures starting next week throughout Richmond.

    Granite Avenue and Grove Avenue

    • Where : Intersection of Granite Avenue and Grove Avenue
    • When : Starting Monday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Why : According to DPW, a contractor will be installing overhead equipment, as well as paving and striping the road — as a result, some lanes will be temporarily closed.

    Cary Street and Libbie Avenue

    • Where : The intersection of Cary Street and Libbie Avenue
    • When : Thursday, Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Why : According to DPW, a contractor will be installing overhead equipment — some travel lanes will be temporarily closed.

    Clarkson Road and Catalina Drive

    • Where : Catalina Drive from Kingsley Avenue to Clarkson Road. In addition, Clarkson Road at Clarkson Court.
    • When : Starting Monday, Oct. 7 through Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Why : According to DPW, a new sidewalk and other roadwork improvement projects will be installed. Some lanes of travel will be temporarily closed at this intersection.
