8Sports Knight-Cap: VCU tops preseason poll, UVA wins again

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News Sports Director Nolan Knight was joined by Digital Producer Will Gonzalez in this week’s Knight-Cap to break down the Atlantic 10 Conference’s (A-10) preseason poll and all the action from this week’s football.

The headline news was the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Rams Men’s Basketball team getting voted as the year’s most likely conference champions. The University of Richmond was picked to finish 7th in the same poll.

Also discussed was the University of Virginia’s 24-14 win over Boston College and Virginia Tech’s bounce-back with a 31-7 win over Stanford .

Toward the end of the show, Knight looked at the Washington Commanders’ 34-13 win over the Cleveland Browns.
