CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A free naloxone training will be provided at the 4th Annual Fairways for Scott Golf Tournament hosted by 2 End the Stigma, of which 8News is a media partner.

The tournament is held in honor of Scott Zebrowski, who lost his life to fentanyl poisoning in 2017. Scott was a twin brother, son, uncle and friend, and the event aims to raise awareness about substance use disorder and the dangers of fentanyl.

The free training is open to anyone from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, before the start of the tournament, at the Magnolia Green Golf Club clubhouse, located at 7001 Awesome Drive in the Moseley area of Chesterfield County.

Registration is not required for the training. Though entry into the golf tournament is sold out, residents are invited to donate items for an auction to help raise money for recovery awareness and treatment.

Companies are also invited to donate items or to sponsor the event itself. Sponsorship offers should be made to Jill Cichowicz at jill.2endthestigma@gmail.com by Monday, Oct. 14.
