Police identify pedestrian killed by driver in Richmond’s Southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department has identified the woman struck and killed by a driver on Midlothian Turnpike in the city’s Southside on Wednesday morning.

The woman who was killed on the 6300 block of Midlothian Turnpike on Wednesday, Oct. 9 has been identified as 42-year-old Tomorrow Brooks of Richmond.

Officers responded to a report of a crash at around 5:29 a.m. and found Brooks unresponsive in the westbound lanes of Midlothian Turnpike. She died at the scene.

Police said no charges have been filed for the driver, who stayed at the scene after the crash.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call J. Ozolins of the Richmond Police Crash Team at 804-646-8671.
