    Fall Jazz Nights at Downtown Richmond’s Gather & Hem

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Looking for an evening of jazz in the middle of the week? The cocktail lounge, Gather & Hem , has launched its Fall Jazz Nights featuring local jazz musician Charles Owens every Tuesday.

    Gather & Hem, the luxury cocktail lounge inside of the Hilton Richmond Downtown is hosting Fall Jazz Nights every Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. — located at 501 E. Broad Street.

    Fall Jazz Nights will feature local saxophonist, composer and educator Charles Owens who has been a part of the jazz scene for over 20 years, according to Gather & Hem.

    In addition, the lounge will also be participating in the First Friday Art Walk — every first Friday of the month Gather & Hem will feature a local artist and offer menu specials between 7 to 9 p.m.

    November’s featured artist for First Friday will be local artist Lena Knudson, who specializes in watercolor portraits. According to the lounge, guests can experience her painting watercolor portraits live from 7 to 9 p.m., additionally, guests can browse Knudson’s collection of work, prints and watercolor kits.
