COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — A 66-year-old Colonial Heights woman is dead after a Sunday afternoon three-vehicle crash, during which she experienced a medical emergency.

At about 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, officers with the Colonial Heights Police Department were called to the 600 block of East Ellerslie Avenue for report of a three-vehicle crash.

Investigators determined that 66-year-old Donna S. Richardson of Colonial Heights experienced a medical emergency while driving east on Ellerslie Avenue in a Mitsubishi SUV.

Richardson was taken to a local hospital by county first responders, where she later died.
