Battlehawks select hometown star Cody Schrader in UFL Draft as he continues to compete for NFL job
ST. LOUIS — A Mizzou star and Lutheran South graduate could play his professional football in his home town. The St. Louis Battlehawks selected Cody Schrader in the second round of the United Football League's college player draft on Wednesday. Schrader was eligible for the UFL College Draft after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.

City of Hollister, Mo., left cleaning up after flash flooding
HOLLISTER, Mo. (KY3)—A summer storm swept through the Ozarks, and the people of Hollister are now cleaning up what the storm left behind. Turkey Creek runs through the middle of the city. According to the city manager, Rick Ziegenfuss, there was so much rain the creek went from its usual two feet deep to 14.6 feet deep at its peak.

ST. LOUIS – The Metro East region experienced significant disparities in rainfall totals on Tuesday, according to data provided by the National Weather Service. Reports from various locations highlighted the varying amounts of precipitation, with the Melvin Price Lock and Dam recording a relatively low 2.40 inches of rain. In contrast, St. Libory in St. Clair County reported a high total of 5.38 inches, while Shiloh, also in St. Clair County, saw an even higher amount of 6.85 inches.
