DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A portion of Far Hills Avenue is currently closed. According to the Oakwood Department of Public Safety, Far Hills Avenue is shut down between Dellwood Avenue and Greenmount Boulevard in Oakwood. Officials say the closure is due to a water main break.

Troy Council presents ‘Look Who is Recycling’ award
TROY — The second quarter Rumpke “Look Who is Recycling” award was presented to Kyle and Jessica Jackson, of Windridge Place, at the Monday Troy City Council meeting. Council President William Rozell awarded the Jacksons with the 2024 second quarter Rumpke “Look Who is Recycling” award. Rumpke of Ohio Inc., the city of Troy’s curbside recycling contractor, runs the program as a tool to encourage residential recycling. Awards are given quarterly to city of Troy residents who actively recycle and share their reasons for doing so.

Wiffle ball with police in the Piqua parks

Piqua Police Chief Rick Byron, who came to cheer on the teams, said he was impressed with the large number of kids who came to enjoy some time with the officers. The next opportunity for local kids to challenge the officers will be a kickball game at Lower Mote Park by College Street on Wednesday, July 24, from noon to 1:30 p.m. There will also be a basketball game with the officers on Friday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Fountain Park, and the final game will be flag football on Friday, Aug. 16, from 1-3 p.m. at Kiwanis Park.
Dragons 5K Takes Place This Saturday at Day Air Ballpark
DAYTON, Ohio -- The 14th annual Dragons 5K presented by Orthopedic Associates will take place at Day Air Ballpark this Saturday, July 20. The race begins at 8 am.
