Game and Fish Commission Approved $102 M Budget; Dubois man awarded EOY
The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission met last week in Buffalo. The seven-member board approved the annual Wyoming Game and Fish Department budget — a regular task at July meetings. The standard operational budget, which supports the day-to-day work of the department, was approved at $102 million. Game and Fish doesn’t receive state general fund dollars. The bulk of the budget comes from sportspeople.
Wyo. Coaches Association Hall of Fame Inductee David Trembly
One of the members of the 2024 Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame is David Trembly of Dubois. He was the long-time head football coach for the Rams and started at that school way back in 1998. Trembly led the Rams to the playoffs 15 times in his career including a State Championship and undefeated season in 2012. His 6-man football teams made the semi-final round of the playoffs for 3 straight years from 2021-2023.
Wyoming Legion Baseball Class ‘A’ All-Conference Awards for 2024
All-conference accolades were announced for Wyoming Legion Baseball’s Single-A teams on Tuesday. The lists include first-team and second-team honors for the 2024 season. The head coaches in each district (West and East) voted for the honors. The eight teams in the Northwest and Southwest conferences make up the West All-Conference selections. The nine teams in the East Conference comprise their All-League choices. Congratulations to all the players on the lists.

Hot Days In Forecast For Southeast Wyoming Residents
Hot weather is forecast across southeast Wyoming over the next few days, with hazy, smoky weather also predicted for Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website: ''Like the heat? Well you’re in luck! Hot temperatures will return to the region by mid-week, with parts of our forecast area returning to the 100s by Wednesday. Looking at mostly benign weather during this time. Smoky and hazy skies will be likely on Tuesday as smoke from wildfires hangs across much of the northern and central part of the country. Smoky skies could linger into the day on Wednesday. Vehicle plunges into water at Colorado state park
A vehicle plunged into the water at Cherry Creek State Park on Tuesday, resulting in a rescue operation. According to South Metro Fire Rescue, their crew was on the scene of the incident a bit after noon with the vehicle in the water near the West Boat Ramp at the reservoir. Two drivers assisted with the help of the extraction of the vehicle. Ultimately, one person was transported from the scene with minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
