Billy Joel, Sting announce show at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2025

INDIANAPOLIS — Two of the most iconic musicians of the last 50 years will join together for a concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2025.

The duo announced their stop in the Circle City on Thursday. The pair will hit the stage on Saturday, February 8.

Joel, a six-time Grammy Award winner, is best known for his hits “Just The Way You Are” and “Piano Man,” among others.

Sting is known for his hits "Every Breath You Take" and "Roxanne" from his time with The Police and solo songs "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" and "We'll Be Together."

Capital Improvement Board executive director Andy Mallon is excited to see Lucas Oil Stadium used increasingly as a concert venue for the biggest names in music.

"It's incredible to bring maybe people who don't follow football back into Lucas Oil Stadium and be able to share this space," Mallon said. "It's just an order of magnitude larger and more spectacular when we're able to host in Lucas Oil Stadium."

Indy CD & Vinyl owner Andy Skinner stocks both artists in his record store. He said he is looking forward to the concert but hopes Indianapolis music fans support local artists at small venues before Joel and Sting come to town.

"Sting started out as a school teacher who was in a punk band, and they played around the world in the tiniest, most terrible little clubs," Skinner said. "Now he's playing Lucas Oil Stadium."

Tickets for the show go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.
