HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WSAV) – The 19th All-American Youth Football Camp ended Sunday evening, as several NFL and college football players went home after another successful camp.

BJ Payne, the head football coach at Hilton Head Island High School (HHIHS), organized this year’s event and invited players like Poona Ford from the Los Angeles Chargers, Notre Dame linebacker and Hilton Head Island High School alum Jaylen, former Georgia Bulldog kicker Rodrigo Blankenship, and many more.

“These kids look forward to this all year and get to build relationships with them [college and NFL players in attendance],” Payne said. “It seems like every year there is a camp coach that makes a real good connection with a couple of kids, and they stay in touch.”

“BJ and Beach [Coach Sarah Beachkofsky, the Director of Football Operations at HHIHS] pour their hearts into this camp [and] you can really tell they love these kids,” Blankenship said. “They want to give these kids the chance to dive into football at a young age and find out if they have a passion for it… so that’s what keeps us coming back.”
