Pooler Walmart closed temporarily following electrical fire

POOLER, Ga. (WSAV) – The Walmart on Pooler Parkway is closed temporarily following a small electrical fire.

According to Pooler Fire Chief Wade Simmons, the fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. Monday, impacting the main power line.

News 3 is told some smoke was visible inside the building.

Because of the fire’s location, power to the entire store had to be shut down. The Walmart was evacuated and closed to customers.

No injuries were reported.

At this time, the store remains closed. Simmons said an electrician has been called in to address the problem.

No word yet when the store will reopen for business.
