    Hilton Head Island lifts state of emergency

    HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) – Hilton Head Island Mayor Alan Perry has announced that the state of emergency for the town has been lifted.

    The decision took effect at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday morning following multiple days of impact to the surrounding area due to Tropical Storm Debby.

    The town announced that normal business operations have resumed.
