Beaufort police investigating a shooting on Ambrose Run that claimed 1 life

BEAFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV)—The Beaufort Police Department (BPD) is investigating a shooting on Ambrose Run that occurred Wednesday night.

At approximately 9:50 p.m., Beaufort Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 325 Ambrose Run, Cross Creek Apartments.

Once arriving, officers located a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid until EMS arrived however, the victim succumbed to their injuries.

According to BPD, the initial investigation revealed that there was a verbal altercation that took place at a different location which led to the incident.

This is an ongoing investigation, and the incident is believed to be isolated with no threat to the public.
