    Governor Kemp extends State of Emergency

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has extended the State of Emergency for Tropical Storm Debby to August 20.

    The Governor issued an Executive Order on Wednesday, August 15.

    “To ensure Georgians still dealing with the after effects of Tropical Storm Debby have our full support, I have extended the State of Emergency to August 20,” Kemp wrote on X.

    The move comes as continued recovery and rehabilitation efforts are underway in Coastal Georgia following the storm.
