Bloomingdale store sells lottery ticket worth $1 million

BLOOMINGDALE, Ga. (WSAV)—A Georgia Lottery player won $1 million from a 2nd Edition Billionaire Club scratch-off game in Chatham County.

The ticket was bought at Joyner’s Corner, 1113 John Carter Road in Bloomingdale and the winner claimed their prize Friday.

The Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $28.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education, such as the Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.

More than 2.1 million students have received HOPE for their secondary education and more than 2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program from Georgia Lottery funds.
